It's a...

We didn't find out whether Darcy was a boy or girl until the second she was born. It was a good surprise and we were going to do the same with baby #2. But then things got complicated and with Sue in the hospital, it was just another surprise that we didn't want to deal with.

So we waffled back and forth about a dozen times and then we finally caved on Tuesday (this is the first chance I've had to write about it.)

So you want to know whether it's a boy or girl?

Really?

Well, the ultrasound tech had us guess. Sue picked one and I picked the other, so that one of us would be right. And for the record, I was right.

It's a boy.

What, you couldn't send your own family an email in advance? We have to read this for the first time on the internet???

That said - picked any names?

Either would have been great of course, but I'm sure cousin Lucas won't mind another boy on his side! Three girls might have ganged up on him!

Laura likes that she and Darcy will both be big sisters to little brothers.

How exciting!!! Congrats!

Names - I'm voting for Mr. Rochester. Or as a second choice, Heathcliff.

See Sue just like a male to cause you so much grief and the little gaffer is not even here yet. Wait till he is born, he will be like all other males, cute, adorable, loveable and ok fun, nice, delightful and so forth.

Seriously guys Congratulations. I look forward to hearing via facebook when the little guy arrives as I will be in Peru by then.

I hope all goes well for you all during his arrival and that this bundle will bring lots of joy to you all.

God Bless
Alexis
