Triathlon Photos

If you're interested, the official race photos are available on-line. Once September roles around, there will be more on Flickr as well.

Run 1, 2, 3. There are some good action shots here.

By request, here is the pick speedo guy coming out of the water. He was RIGHT in front of me. Ugh.

You didn't post the pictures of the pink speedo guy?

Uhhh, don't know quite what to say here. I'm pretty sure I didn't need to see pink speedo guy.

Why you so angry looking in the running shots?

nickt said...

Yeah, I could have gone without seeing that either, but why suffer alone?!

The angry face can be chalked up to 'emptying the tank' for the finish. The guy right behind me is who challenged me to sprint. It's more of an extreme effort than anger.

Geez. The pink speedo is quite gross. No one needs (nor wants!) to see that! Your action shots are pretty cool, but you look really angry!

Pink Speedo Guy (PSG) had the gumption to pop that pair of crowd pleasers on, but whats with the BLUE swim cap??? No, no, no.
4 syllables Mr PSG; co-ordinate!!!

The blue hats were mandatory, to show what age class they were competing in. Maybe next year they'll consider going with pink to match some of the swimming attire.

I swear it's not anger. If the guy had beat me to the line, then it would have been anger.

In defence of PSG, never thought that would happen, he didn't have a choice about the swim caps. The race was started in waves. Elite - white caps, men 39&under - blue caps, men 40+ red caps, women - green caps.

There are some women with blue caps, but they would have been in the tri-relay race. That's where you do one of the three events and two of your friends pick up where you left off.

ok then Sue, that being said you need to get yourself a GREEN outfit, so the cap suits. Meh, fitness shmitness, its all about co-ordination of the outfit and THEN the limbs.
